Wardrobe!

I found two entertaining news items today.

The first is an announcement that President Bush plans to visit Southern California on Thursday to look over the wildfire damage there. Surely that means more pictures of him walking around wearing those dress shirts with the rolled-up sleeves. I believe he has a closet full of these. The sleeves aren't really rolled up: they're tailored to look that way, kind of like those novelty T-shirts with a dress tie painted on the front. Among the shirts is a pair of "sweat-stained" shirts, only they aren't really sweat stained, but have something sprayed on to make it look like he's been out in the heat. My guess is that he'll swagger about wearing that macho combination.

And then there's the AP news that Condoleeza Rice has finally gotten around to issuing real guidelines for the conduct of private security firms operating within Iraq. I'm sure she's going to need some new shoes to go with that decree.
