The RNC in a Minute

My mother watched most of the whole of the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis-Saint Paul this week, and toward the end she said to me, "Doesn't it seem that this is sort of boring? It's very different from the Democratic convention, I think." And this from a person who voted for Richard Nixon.

I confess that I would peek in on it every now and then, but it just went on and on and looked like one talking head after another ... first center, then left, then center, then right, then center, as the teleprompter moved. I love what 23/6 has done in accurately summarizing the GOP convention:

Having said that, though, I really would have preferred media coverage of the alternative Ron Paul Convention in Minneapolis on September 2. Or perhaps anything of the Nader-Gonzalez ticket.
